I am Henk Veenstra, a freelance photographer since 2000 based in Korrewegwijk (Groningen). I specialize in corporate photography and on‑location portraiture: business portraits, employee photography and professional LinkedIn headshots. As a northerner with a broad perspective, I work with a single goal: to create images that represent your organization and the people who make it work. Why choose me as your corporate photographer? For every assignment I look for the meeting point of person, environment and light — the photograph should be technically sound while feeling recognizable and human. My background (HTS electronics and studies at Academie Minerva in photography and graphic design) gives me technical confidence and a graphic eye for composition. I like to collaborate with clients in advance to agree the style, location and mood so the images are immediately usable on websites, intranets, social media and corporate publications. How I work: we start with a short intake to define the target audience and intended use. On location I create a relaxed atmosphere so staff can be themselves; a calm, conversational approach often produces the most natural portraits. For teams and individual profile photos I ensure consistent lighting and framing so the images work well together in annual reports or on your website. For corporate events I capture atmosphere and interaction with the same attention to detail and recognizability. My primary working area is Groningen, Drenthe and Friesland, but I travel beyond these provinces for interesting assignments. In addition to corporate and portrait photography I accept event assignments by appointment. Occasionally I combine assignments with documentary or interior photography when that strengthens the corporate narrative; I treat these disciplines as complementary options rather than my core specialization.
