I’m Sjoerd Booij — based in Haarlem and specialised in business photography and corporate portraits for entrepreneurs, small businesses and professionals. Since 2011 I’ve been telling stories with images; for companies that means no stiff passport photos but authentic portraits that genuinely show who you are and what you stand for. How I work: we start with an introductory meeting, preferably face-to-face or via video call. I want to understand who you are, what your business conveys and which images will suit that identity. From there we decide on location (office, workspace or outdoor setting), mood and practical details. During the shoot I create a relaxed atmosphere: no rigid direction, but gentle guidance and room for spontaneous moments. That combination delivers realistic, timeless images that work equally well online and in print. My style is visually honest and focused on emotion and character. As a father and traveller I often seek those subtle, human elements — small gestures, concentrated looks and relaxed postures — that reveal personality.
