I am Paul van der Wal, based in Zwolle, and I specialize in business photography with a focus on both image and story. For me, corporate photography is more than attractive visuals: it’s the way you make identity, culture and professionalism visible to clients, partners and employees. My main focus is on corporate reportage, corporate portraits and branding photos that can be used purposefully across websites, LinkedIn, magazines and marketing materials. What sets me apart is a narrative approach. I look for the moments and details that show how you work, what you are proud of and what customers experience. Whether it’s an atmospheric on-location reportage that brings the workplace and processes to life, or a series of powerful corporate portraits that convey trust and expertise — I always work with attention to light, composition and authenticity. For corporate portraits I often collaborate with a makeup artist to ensure the final result is professional and representative. My working method is personal and practical: we meet beforehand for an introduction and briefing so I understand your goals and wishes. On the shoot day I arrive calm and professional — usually on location, but studio sessions are of course available. I use a coaching, relaxed approach so employees feel at ease and natural, strong images emerge. After the shoot I select and edit the images with a consistent style that fits your communication. Because business photography is bespoke, I offer different forms of collaboration: from a one-off reportage to structured visual development through subscription models. Many clients choose an image bank to maintain long-term consistency in their communications — ideal for social media, press, annual reports and campaigns. I work with professional equipment and am known for delivering clear, versatile images even under difficult lighting conditions. For video needs I collaborate with a regular video partner so photo and film can be produced in alignment when desired.
